Publishing Policy
Periodicity
Review articles in RIDE are published on a rolling basis in issues of at least five articles being completed on average twice a year.
Access
RIDE is an open access publication. There are no article processing or submission charges for authors. Furthermore there are no subscription fees and no embargos of any kind. RIDE is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and holds the seal of the directory since 2024.
Copyright
Authors do not transfer copyright to the publisher, they do not assign exclusive rights to the publisher, and they retain all rights. Authors are free to deposit the submitted, accepted and published version of their article in any repository, as long as the source is acknowledged with citation (for more information see the RIDE entry in Sherpa Romeo).
License
RIDE publishes all content and gathered data under the CC-BY 4.0 license. For a summary of the license and the rights granted to you, please see: creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.
Open Data
All Reviews and questionnaires are available in XML/TEI and as PDF on GitHub and Zenodo; the latter allows for citing the data in a specific version with an own DOI. Retrieval and re-use of the review metadata is also supported through an OAI-interface.
Ethics and Malpractice Statement
RIDE is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal whose Ethical Code is inspired by the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Ethical Code (see the Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors).
Archive
Releases of the RIDE data on GitHub (reviews as XML/TEI and PDF plus image files) are archived on Zenodo. In addition, the PDF versions of the reviews are archived by the German National Library.
